Weather and What to Bring

San Sebastián is about 4600 feet (1400 meters) above sea level, which means temperatures are about 16°F or 9°C cooler than the coast, and with much less humidity.

The town is nestled in mountainous terrain and linked with cobble stone streets, so a comfortable pair of shoes is something not to forget.

From November to May, the average temperature is 75°F (24°C), with an average low of 45°F (7°C), so bringing pants and a sweater for the evenings is definitely a good idea.

The summer is the rainy season, and you can count on afternoon or evening showers. The average temperature is about 85°F (29°C), and evening lows are about 61°F (16°C).

The town has some street lighting for when it gets dark, but if you're thinking of spending the night and going out for dinner, a flashlight can come in handy depending on where you stay.

Lastly, and perhaps most importantly, San Sebastián is such a beautiful place that you must remember to bring your camera!
